Today in Grey Pot you can see how to make homemade Paneer Biriyani.
Ingredients to cook rice :
Jeera rice (soaked) - 2 cup
Bay leaf - 1
Peppercons - 20
Cinnamon - 1'' stick
Cardamom - 3
Cloves - 3
Staranise - 1
Take a bowl full of water with some salt and add soaked Jeera rice, all spices and let it cook. Once it gets cooked drain all water.
Ingredients for Paneer gravy :
Fried Paneer - 200 gms (after frying soak that in water to remain soft )
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp
Chilly Powder - 2 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 3 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1 tbsp (optional)
Saute onion in a hot pan with some oil, once it turns brown add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder,chilly powder, tomato and some water and let it cook. add garam masala, salt and fried paneer with soaked water and let it cook for 10 minutes. Once the water gets evaporated add some fried onions.
Ingredients for Garnishing
Fried Raisins
Fried Cashew nuts
Fried Onions
Coriander leaves
Make the first layer with half rice, second layer with paneer gravy with some fried onions,raisins and coriander leaves. Third layer rice and again fried onions,raisins,nuts and coriander leaves. add some ghee into some warm milk and pour it top to add more flavour.
Dum it for 5 minutes and Serve hot.
